Biographical History
Carroll Louis Vanderslice Meeks (1907-1966) was an American architectural historian. Published titles include Italian Architecture, 1750-1914 and The Railroad Station: An Architectural History.
Scope and Contents of the Collection
The Carroll L. V. Meeks Negatives contains negatives for 87 photographs in the Yale University Art Library. The majority are of architecture in Europe; there are also a few in the United States. Among the cities represented are London, Blackfriars, Greenwich, Paris, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Rome, Interlaken, Zurich, Boston, New Haven, and San Francisco.
