Muriel Helfenbein, formerly Muriel Friedman, attended Syracuse University in the late 1940s. She graduated in January of 1949 with a liberal arts degree.
The Muriel Helfenbein Photographs consists of two small, black and white photographs. One photograph is labeled "The first snow fall!" and shows Maxwell Hall to the right and Hall of Languages in the background, both seen through a break in the trees. The second photograph is a posed picture of ten women, including Muriel Helfenbein, in front of Wilbur Cottage.
