Paul Snyder (1948-) was a graduate student in the School of Management (now the Whitman School of Management) at Syracuse University from 1970 to 1972. Snyder was born in Oswego, New York and received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 1970. He then came to Syracuse University and graduated with a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in management data systems in 1972. Snyder then worked as the chief financial officer for the Oswego Hospital for 34 years. Currently, Snyder works as an adjunct instructor in the School of Business at the State University of New York College at Oswego.
The Paul Snyder Papers consist of notebooks, notes, assignments, handouts, and other course materials from classes that Snyder attended as a graduate student in the MBA program at Syracuse University in the early 1970s. The courses present in the collection include marketing systems, business law, law and public policy, operations management, electronic data processing, and systems simulation. Some of the materials include course syllabi, exam booklets, and term papers. Snyder's term paper for his business law course focused on racial discrimination within the Syracuse University football team and the Syracuse 8, whose boycott of the team's practices and games was ongoing while Snyder was a student at Syracuse University.
Please note that the collection is housed off-site, and advance notice is required to allow time to have the materials brought to the Reading Room on campus.
