In August 2024:
- Thirty-seven (37) dissertations were submitted and their records are available at: https://surface.syr.edu/etd/.
- Thirty-four (34) dissertations were submitted as Open Access (OA) publications, twenty-five (25) of which are currently available for download on SURFACE. Nine (9) additional dissertations will be available after an embargo period.
- Three (3) additional dissertations was submitted but are only available by subscription through ProQuest, though their records are available in SURFACE.
- The OA rate for dissertations this summer exceeded 91%.
- Eleven (11) graduate theses were submitted and their records are available at https://surface.syr.edu/thesis/.
- Ten (10) theses were submitted as OA publications, all of which are currently available for download on SURFACE.
- One (1) additional theses were submitted but are only available by subscription through ProQuest, though their records are available in SURFACE.
- The OA rate for theses was over 90%.
- The overall OA rate for all dissertations and theses was approximately 92%.
