Did you know that the Libraries have an extensive collection of historical and current cookbooks? The Libraries has a selection of titles on display on the first floor of Bird Library for June and July, or at any time on our Cookbooks Research Guide. Our research guide is broken down by meal: breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts, drinks, as well as recipe series, cultural cooking, dietary restrictions, journals and magazines, and sustainable eating. We also feature some local cooking cookbooks, including restaurant recipes from Dinosaur Bar-B-Que and Moosewood Restaurant.

The cookbook collection currently resides in two physical locations while we await renovations to the Carnegie Library books stacks. Some can be browsed in Bird Library, 4th floor near the LP's and others need to be requested from long-term storage. We also have many eBook cookbooks available online. You can virtually browse our cookbooks and cooking collections in our online catalog/Summon or, if you're seeking a specific title, ask for help from friendly library staff.

Book selection was curated by McKenzie Rybka, MM ’23, with guidance from Anita Kuiken, Falk College Librarian. If you would like to request other cookbook titles for the Libraries’ collections, please fill out our Suggest a Title form.
