In very similiar duplication of the crude interpretation just discussed, this horse retains most of the same characteristics with side wing., cornice projections, and twelve paned windows.
But the scale has been considerably lightened with a much more satisfactory result, for the cornice mouldings, entablature and thin corner boards have now assumed their proper relationships. As an added flourish, the front door has been blessed with sophisticated sidelights.
Most attention, however, goes to the, thinning columns of the porch. Together with the lately customary squareness, these are the columns that persist into the Victorian Gothic, the sole reminders of once glorious colonnades and temples.
