Files and useful resources

Useful resources

The following resources are mentioned in the lecture, and will be useful in completing your assignment.

See also this list of handy links for additional resources.

Important notes

DO NOT wait until the night before the assignment is due to begin working on this, in case you have problems with it. If you need help, please email me at mrrothen@syr.edu or call me at 315-443-2081 and I will be happy to work with you.

DO look at lots of examples (links 1 and 2 above) before you start working on your finding aid, and if you encounter problems look at the examples to help you figure out how to fix it.

DO NOT post your completed assignment to Blackboard. When you are done, email your final EAD file to me at mrrothen@syr.edu. Your finding aid will be graded on both encoding (does it validate, have you included required elements, etc.) and content (have you put the correct content into the correct elements).
