Biographical History

Samuel Keise(?) Platt was a resident of Plattsburgh, New York in the early nineteenth century. He also had family on the other side of Lake Champlain, in St. Albans and Burlington, Vermont.


Scope and Contents of the Collection

The Samuel Platt Correspondence includes 21 letters sent to Platt between 1834 and 1842. The letters are from family members, friends, and acquaintances. They variously send news, request Platt's assistance, and dispense advice.
