Biographical History

Reverend R. DeWitt Stanley, a Methodist minister, was appointed to serve in Mansfield, Pennsylvania, on March 1, 1911. In October 1913 he was appointed pastor of the Lafayette Avenue Methodist Church in Syracuse, New York. In 1918 he was appointed to a church in Cazenovia, New York, and in 1924 he was assigned to a church in Wolcott, New York.


Scope and Contents of the Collection

The R. DeWitt Stanley Papers consists of correspondence, subject files, and published material.

Correspondence is incoming only. Subject files contain a diary, programs, and material on the New York State Historical Association. Published material contains clippings about others.

Correspondence is arranged alphabetically by sender. Subject files are arranged alphabetically by topic. Published material is in no particular order.
