William (Bill) N. Alexander was a civil engineer with the Dumfries and Galloway Regional Council in 1988. He, along with other civil engineers, was heavily involved in the aftermath of the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 and crash in Lockerbie, Scotland.
The William N. Alexander Papers consists of clippings and writings about or written by Alexander and his involvement in the aftermath of the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103. The clippings contain a selection of magazine articles profiling the work of Alexander and his fellow civil engineers in the aftermath of the Pan Am Flight 103 crash, as well as a profile of Alexander in Surveyor magazine. The writings consist of the personal and professional writings of Alexander, including a January 1989 interview at the Lockerbie Incident Control Centre and reports discussing the handling of the aftermath of the bombing and crash of Pan Am Flight 103.
