The Pan Am 103 Audiovisual Collection contains most of the audiovisual material found in the Pan Am Flight 103 Archives. This includes Audio Materials such as cassette tapes and CDs, as well as Video Materials on both VHS tape and DVD. All items originally donated on VHS tape have been converted to DVD for use. These materials, which were previously divided among individuals' collections, have been combined in order to facilitate greater access and ease of use.
The audiovisual materials contain news clips, which often have interviews with victim's families, memorial services, Remembrance Scholar convocations, documentaries, and television programs and specials.
Items that pertain to one person or individual are housed with that individual's collection. Such collections are noted in the Related Materials section of this finding aid. Please note, some of these materials are restricted.
Please note the audiocassette for the 1993 Remembrance Scholar Convocation (F/V 2649) is missing as of July 2011.
Access Restrictions:
THIS COLLECTION IS CURRENTLY CLOSED FOR PROCESSING.
Please note that some materials may be restricted at donor's request. Patrons should be aware the Archives' reading room does not possess a means of listening to original audiocasettes. Those wishing to access audiocasettes must contact the Archives a minimum of two weeks in advance, to provide time for the production of listening copies.
