Dee Britton, a former visiting assistant professor in the Sociology and Anthropology Department of Colgate University and at Hamilton College, was a faculty member in the Sociology Department of University College at Syracuse University and received a PhD in Social Science from Syracuse University's Maxwell School. She is currently an assistant professor with the State University of New York's Empire State College. Ms. Britton has lectured on commemorations of the Pan Am 103 tragedy throughout the United States and in Italy, Sweden, and Spain.
The Dee Britton Writings contains correspondence and articles written by Britton related to the Pan Am Flight 103 tragedy. Some of the writings appear as independent articles, while others are presented in the journal that published them. All articles were published from 2007-2008.
