Collen Reneè Brunner (1968-1988) was among the 270 victims of the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland on December 21, 1988. A junior majoring in communications studies at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Oswego, she was traveling home after completing a semester with her college's London exchange program. Colleen was traveling with Lynne Hartunian. The two had traveled several weeks through Spain, France, Italy, Austria, Germany, and Switzerland after their classes in London had ended. Born January 4, 1968, Colleen was the youngest of eight children. She was survived by her mother, Pat; brothers Donald, Michael, William, and Robert; and sisters Cheryl, Karen, and Patti. Colleen's father, Donald, has since passed away.

Colleen was born and raised in North Boston, New York. She was a graduate of Hamburg Senior High where she served as secretary and vice president of the Student Council, a member of the varsity cheerleading squad, and a three-year member of the Catalina Club. Hamburg Senior High now presents an annual scholarship, the Colleen Brunner Student Council Scholarship, in her honor

At SUNY Oswego, she enjoyed her job in the Admissions Office, and was very active in the Alpha Sigma Chi sorority. A memorial scholarship fund has been established in her honor at Oswego.
