Michael "Mike" Joseph Doyle was the manager of accounting research and projects at the Scott Paper Co. in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was flying home after a business trip to London. Mike was born in White Plains, New York on May 21, 1958. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and business management from the University of Dayton in 1980, in addition to being accredited as a Certified Public Accountant. Mike was survived by his wife, Noreen; and his daughter, Kelly, who was just nineteen months old at the time of the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103. He also left behind his mother and sister.


Scope and Content Note

The Michael Joseph Doyle Papers comprise seven series related to Michael Joseph Doyle, killed in the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103, as well as materials related to Victims of Pan Am Flight 103, Inc. and the Arlington Memorial Cairn. These series include: Clippings; Correspondence; Memorabilia; Press Releases; Printed Materials; and Writings. The Memorabilia series contains a fabric sign, held at the 10th anniversary memorial cairn service.
