Biography

Photograph of Tom Gordon

Tom Gordon was a Detective Sergeant with the Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary in 1988. Tom worked on the Pan Am 103 investigation in various capacities until his retirement from the force in 2013. Tom was most heavily involved with the HOLMES system, which catalogued all the evidence and data relating to the criminal inquiry into the bombing.

Scope and Content Note

The Tom Gordon Papers consists of memorabilia, photographs, and other materials related to Tom Gordon's experience as a member of the Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary during the Pan Am 103 investigation. The collection is divided into the following series:

Memorabilia contains items generally related to the Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary, as well as photographs and documentation related to a commemorative service ring bestowed on Gordon for his service in the Lockerbie Investigation.

Photographs consists of two items, one featuring Gordon receiving a commemorative plaque, the other featuring the Lockerbie Incident Control Centre (LICC) staff.

Printed materials contains materials related to the criminal inquiry of the Pan Am 103 disaster, and Gordon's associated work.
