Biography

Photograph of Jocelyn K. Reina

Jocelyn "Kim" Reina was born in Los Angeles, California on May 26, 1962, where she attended Cypress College. She majored in drama and took French language classes. Kim made commercials for Fuji Film and Disneyland, but, finding it hard to make a living acting in Los Angeles, became a cosmetologist. A lifelong dream of becoming a flight attendant, however, eventually led her to flying with Pan Am. Kim had 11 months of service with Pan Am when she died; six of those months she was based in London. Kim was survived by her parents, Betty and Ted Reina; and her brother, John.

Scope and Content Note

The Jocelyn K. Reina Papers contain two items, a photograph and a Pan Am keychain, related to Jocelyn Reina, a member of the flight crew of Pan Am Flight 103 killed in the bombing over Lockerbie, Scotland. The photograph is of Kim Reina in her Pan Am flight attendant's uniform.
