Miriam Janet Felshaw-Preston (1912-1994) was an alumna of Syracuse University and graduated in 1934. While at Syracuse University, she was part of both Delta Gamma sorority and the Boar's Head Honorary Dramatic Society. Miriam became the English and dramatic instructor at Antwerp High school after graduation and wrote and staged a seven-act play titled "Mademoiselle Caroline," based on the North Country life of Caroline Bonaparte, daughter of King Joseph Bonaparte and wife of Colonel Zebulon Howell Benton. She married district representation of the Socony-Vacuum Oil Company, Menzo Herbert Preston, in 1939.
The Miriam J. Felshaw Papers consist of correspondence, multiple drafts of Felshaw's written works, typescripts of various authors' work, written notes, 2 post cards, and two photographs of Miriam Felshaw.
