      <p>Thomas LoMedico (1904-1985) was an American sculptor known for his work in wood.  A native of New York, his work has been 
      exhibited at major galleries across the United States including the Whitney Museum of American Art, 
      the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the National Academy of Design.  He also taught at the National 
      Academy of Design.</p></bioghist>
