Samuel S. Forman (1763-1860) was an early settler of the town of Cazenovia in Madison County, New York. As a young man, Forman traveled Central New York as clerk to John Lincklaen, a young Dutch land agent, whose house and lands today are known as the Lorenzo Historic Site. Forman also assisted Lincklaen in running his store in Cazenovia; he eventually purchased the business from Lincklaen and expanded into other communities in the area. In 1837, Forman purblished his memoirs as "ANNALS of CAZENOVIA."
The Samuel S. Forman Correspondence consists of a letter from Samuel S. Forman in Cazenovia to John R. Bleeker.
