Dame Adeline Genée (1878-1970) was a Danish and British ballet dancer. She became famous in the early twentieth century, performing with ballet companies in London and New York.
The Adeline Genée Letter is a handwritten letter dated 1 Sep 1940 and sent by Genée from Bernardsville, New Jersey. It is addressed to Commander McCormick-Goodhart of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve. During WWII, Genée came out of retirement to participate in various charitable war relief organizations. In the letter, she discusses plans for upcoming performances and events.
