Charles Hommel was a wholesale dealer in rock and stone in Wilbur, New York in the mid to late 19th century.
The Charles Hommel Ledger consists of one volume recording transactions for Hommel's wholesale business for the years 1878-1887. The ledger's pages are not filled consecutively; large groups of blank pages separate different recording methods (e.g. by date or by customer name). Also included in the ledger are lists of stock on hand, stone shipped by railroad, and other records.
