Biographical History

Robert H. Pierson was a graduate of Syracuse University (class of 1898) where he was a member of the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He was a physician at the House of the Good Shepherd and later had an office in Syracuse. [Delta Kappa Epsilon Quarterly, Vol. XVII, 1899.] In 1902, he was one of only 18 young doctors to pass the U.S. Army's examination for Assistant Surgeon. Scope and Contents of the Collection

The Robert H. Pierson Daybooks consists of two volumes containing Dr. Pierson's notes on diagnosis, treatment and payment. In some cases the notes are extremely detailed.
