Union Camp Corporation was an American pulp and paper company established in 1956 through the merger of Union Bag and Paper Company (founded 1881) and Camp Manufacturing Company (founded 1887). In 1999 the company was acquired by International Paper. In the mid-1960s, to showcase and publicize their fine paper products, Union Camp issued a series of promotional items, each consisting of a folder containing items printed on various stocks of UC paper, with text and items based on the life of a famous person. At least two of the sets in the series included small phonodiscs printed on paper.
Union Camp's Famous Personalities Series contains promotional items created to showcase the paper company's products. At present the collection contains only one set of items, relating to New York City Mayor Fiorello H. LaGuardia. More may be acquired in future.
