Biography
Frances Forde Plude was a professor in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University from 1988 to 1994. Plude received a doctorate from Harvard University, and went to MIT to study satellite communications. While working at Syracuse University she was involved with research for the book The Media and Disasters: Pan Am 103.

This collection consists of materials related to the research and creation of the book The Media and Disasters: Pan Am 103, authored by Joan Deppa with Maria Russell, Dona Hayes, and Elizabeth Flocke.
