Finla Goff Crawford (1894-1973) was a political science professor, dean of the College of Liberal Arts and vice chancellor at Syracuse University. He graduated from Alfred University in 1915 and received his master's degree in 1916 and his doctorate in 1922 from the University of Wisconsin. In 1919 Crawford accepted a position teaching political science at Syracuse University. He became dean of the College of Liberal Arts (now the College of Arts and Sciences) in 1938 and vice chancellor in 1942. He retired in 1959.
