The Syracuse University Dames was an organization at Syracuse University for wives of students, or married female students. It was one chapter of a larger nationwide organization known as the National Association of University Dames. The Syracuse University Dames was established as a group in October of 1930. The organization ceased to exist sometime after 1979.
This collection consists of materials dated 1939 to 1979. Types of materials in this collection include scrapbooks, booklets, notes, ledgers, and other information relating to the running of the Syracuse University Dames.
Please note that the collection is housed off-site, and advance notice is required to allow time to have the materials brought to the Reading Room on campus.

Materials from the Syracuse University Women's Club and Women of the University Community were removed from this collection.
The University Archives holds collections on other women's organizations, such as the Women of the University Community and the Syracuse University Women's Club of Auburn.
