Biography
Nancy Derevjanik (b.1962 ) graduated from Syracuse University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science in psychology.
Derevjanik grew up in Staten Island, New York. She attended Syracuse University from 1980 to 1985 and was in the College of Arts and Sciences. After graduation, Derevjanik worked as a research technician at Johns Hopkins Medical School.
Scope and Content
The Nancy Derevjanik Papers include materials related to her experience as a student and alumna of Syracuse University. There are materials specifically related to her freshman experience, which include items like her certificate of admission, an itinerary for a prospective students' reception, and a pamphlet for orientation. Also included in the papers are photographs, negatives, and contact sheets of images Derevjanik took while at school. There are also album pages that consisted of photographs and other materials. The materials from the album pages have been rehoused but photocopies of their original organization have been placed in the folder. Syracuse University publications, including an alumni magazine, and materials related to events that happened at the University, such as pamphlets and fliers, are included in the papers as well.
