Judith Haubens Austin (1938-2022) attended Syracuse University from 1956 to 1961. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in radio and television from the School of Speech and Dramatic Art in 1960 and a Master of Science in TV-radio from the School of Journalism in 1961. As an undergraduate, Haubens was a member of WAER, the University radio station; Alpha Epsilon Rho, the undergraduate radio-TV honorary society; and the sorority Kappa Delta. After graduating, Haubens worked in television and radio throughout New York state and Pennsylvania.
The Judith Haubens Photographs comprise a photograph album created by Haubens and loose photographs. The album covers her freshman and sophomore years, and includes photographs of Colgate Weekend, Spring Weekend, Winter Carnival, and campus events throughout the academic year. Haubens was a member of one of the first classes to live in the Mount Olympus dorms and the photographs also document dormitory life.
