Randall Korman is an emeritus professor of architecture at the Syracuse University School of Architecture.
Korman was a professor of architecture at the University from 1977 to 2018. During his time at the University, Korman taught both graduate and undergraduate courses, and helped to develop the international architecture education programs. He established the Syracuse Florence Architecture Program in 1980 to 1982 and the Syracuse University London Architecture Program in 2007, and later served as the resident director of the Syracuse University Florence Center. He was the associate dean at the School of Architecture from 2005 to 2012, and the interim dean in the 2012-2013 academic year.
In addition to his time at Syracuse, he was a visiting faculty member at the University of Texas and Kanto Gakuin University in Yokohama, Japan, as well as the Batza Distinguished Visiting Professor at Colgate University. Outside of academics, he has worked as an architect since 1975 on commercial, institutional, and residential projects, and received national certification from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards in 1977.
The Randall Korman Papers comprises promotion review materials he submitted for tenure, which document his work as a professor at Syracuse University. Contents include syllabi and other course materials, photographs and slides from exhibitions, architectural drawings, and architectural design competition materials.
