Biography
Michael Okoniewski is a professional photographer based in Syracuse, New York. He was the chief photographer for Syracuse University Athletics, as well as a contributing photographer for the Associated Press and New York Times.
Scope and Content Note
The Michael Okoniewski Photograph consists of a single photograph that depicts the Syracuse University men's football coaching staff, including head coach Dick MacPherson, celebrating during the Syracuse vs Nebraska game on September 29, 1984. Syracuse beat Nebraska, ranked the No. 1 college football team in the country at the time, with an end score of 17 to 9.
