Cornelius Rademaker graduated from Syracuse University in 1924. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Rademaker pursued a Liberal Arts degree while attending Syracuse University. In addition to his studies, he was a member of many organizations on campus, including the Sigma Beta fraternity, Class Executive Committee, the Boar’s Head Dramatic Society, Hockey Club, ROTC, and the Cheerleading team.
The Cornelius Rademaker Papers contain materials documenting Rademaker’s time at Syracuse University. The collection includes commencement programs, Interlocal Fraternity Conference minutes, newspaper clippings, a Syracuse University Handbook, pins, and a cheerleading sweater. There is also a scrapbook that contains clippings about Syracuse University sports teams, photographs of campus and activities Rademaker was involved in, playbills for local theater productions, membership certificates to student organizations, as well as tickets to dances and sporting events.
Please note that the collection is housed off-site, and advance notice is required to allow time to have the materials brought to the Reading Room on campus.
