Robert I. Senger (1922-2017) received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the College of Business Administration at Syracuse University in 1947. Senger was admitted to Syracuse University in 1946 under the GI Bill, which provided millions of World War II veterans a college education. While attending Syracuse University, Senger was an honors student and participated in Beta Alpha Psi, the National Accounting Fraternity. After graduating, Senger worked as a Certified Public Accountant for over 40 years.
The Robert I. Senger Papers includes two scrapbooks. The first scrapbook contains clippings, photographs, correspondence, greeting cards, tickets, and University publications documenting Senger’s experience as an undergraduate at Syracuse University from 1946 to 1947. Topics include Syracuse University's 86th Commencement, Spring Weekend, the Archbold Stadium fire, Boar's Head Dramatic Society productions, and the Blossom Ball. The second scrapbook documents the 50th reunion of the Class of 1947. Contents include clippings, photographs, a class of 1947 button, a directory, and a memory book.
Please note that the collection is housed off-site, and advance notice is required to allow time to have the materials brought to the Reading Room on campus.
