Biographical History

Poet Oma Carlyle Anderson is a member of the Philadelphia branch of the National League of American Pen Women, the American Poetry League, and the Pennsylvania Poetry Society. She is the author of several collections of poetry including Through the Seventh Gate, published in 1962.


Scope and Contents of the Collection

The Oma Carlyle Anderson Papers consists of incoming correspondence, subject files (personal and financial material), manuscripts of original poems, and published material (poems, newspaper clippings, and a copy of her book Through the Seventh Gate).


Arrangement of the Collection

All series except published material is arranged alphabetically. Published material contains her poems first, followed by a book and clippings.
