Henry C. Pitz (1895-1976) was an American illustrator, particularly known for his fine pen and ink work.
David A. Fraser was an attorney in Syracuse, New York and a member of the Fraser Brothers firm. He was a collector of the work of American illustrators.
The David Fraser Collection Relating to Henry C. Pitz consists of letters between Fraser and Pitz about Pitz's illustrations for a Grosset and Dunlap edition of Treasure Island, and Pitz's original artwork for the frontispiece illustration of Long John Silver. The letters also discuss American illustrators and the possibility of a revised edition of Theodore Bolton's American Book Illustrators.
