Biographical History

Chol Soo Lee (1952-2014) was a Korean immigrant who was wrongfully convicted of first-degree murder of a San Francisco Chinatown gang leader. Lee was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1974, but investigative reporting and the work of the Free Chol Soo Lee Defense Committee eventually led to his acquttal, and he was released in 1983.
