Paul Malo (1930-2008) was an American architect, professor, and historian.
Malo was an alumnus (1956) and Professor Emeritus of Syracuse University's School of Architecture, where he taught for more than thirty years while also working as a professional architect. He was employed first with the firm of Sargent, Webster, Crenshaw and Folley and then as partner in the firm of McAfee and Malo, designing many residences and public buildings in Central New York including the Onondaga County Civic Center. He won numerous awards for his work, including the 1999 Pillar of New York Award, the 2001 Annual Award of the Preservation League of New York State and the Special Achievement Award of the Landmark Society of Western New York. He wrote several books on the Thousand Islands area, and was a past president of the Preservation League of New York State and a founding trustee of the Adirondack Architectural Heritage. He was also a pianist, painter, photographer, and gourmet chef.
