Robert Ashford has been a professor at Syracuse University's College of Law since 1978.
Robert Ashford received his B.A. in physics and English from the University of South Florida and received his J.D. from Harvard Law School. He is a member of the American Law Institute, American Society for Political and Legal Philosophy, Phi Kappa Phi, and Sigma Pi Sigma (National Physics Honor Society).
Ashford joined the Syracuse University faculty in 1978, was an associate professor until 1984, and is currently a member of the faculty at the College of Law. He has been a visiting professor at the law schools of the University of San Francisco and Stetson University. Before teaching, Ashford worked at private law practices and has been admitted to the Bar of New York and the State Bar of California. He has published many works and has given an extensive amount of presentations. Ashford is the founder of the section on Socio-Economics of the Association of American Law School and he is also on the editorial board of the Journal of Socio-Economics.
The Robert Ashford Papers contain the written works of Ashford, a book he was cited in, as well as reports to Syracuse University directly relating to his teaching.
