Biography

William E. Bonnice (1926-2023) received his undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from Syracuse University in 1951. He was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity and the American Marketing Association. He received a master’s degree in Statistics and a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Washington and taught Mathematics at the University of New Hampshire for thirty-five years.


Scope and Content Note

The William E. Bonnice Photograph Collection dates from approximately 1947 to 1951. The collection includes 80 photographs from Bonnice’s time as an undergraduate student at Syracuse University. The photographs depict Spring Weekend, Colgate Weekend, and Winter Carnival.

This collection contains images that users may find objectionable due to derogatory and harmful imagery. The representations contained in this collection were prevalent at the time of its creation, although no less harmful and inaccurate than it is today. The collection is preserved and presented for its historic and research value.
