Ruby Spear (1891-1983) graduated from the Teacher's College at Syracuse University in 1916 with a specialization in art. She was a member of the Women's League and the Y.W.C.A. during her time on campus. After graduation, Spear worked as an art teacher at Mayville Central School in Mayville, New York. Her married name was Page.
The Ruby Spear Papers contain printed material and photographs from her time as an undergraduate student at Syracuse University. The collection offers a snapshot of student life in the 1910s, containing Ruby's dance cards from two events, coupon books for Syracuse University sporting events, and programs from formal dinners held for students. This collection also contains a Women's League rules and regulations pamphlet that reveals what life was like for women at Syracuse University at that time.
