Biographical History

The Sons of Temperance is an international organization dedicated to temperance and the teetotalism lifestyle. Purported to have been founded in the 1840s, the society is no longer influential in the United States, though there are active chapters abroad in countries such as England.

Little is known about James Seddy, other than he was a member of Sons of Temperance and for some reason honorably withdrew from the Western New York division of the society.
