Image 6 shows a view of a typical mechanical room located on each laboratory floor. The equipment, mostly mechanical and covered under Division 15, is in direct support of the service requirements of the labs, including gas, distilled and treated water, vacuum, and filtered air. The location of this equipment, in an area which is separate from the lab, is critical for facilitating maintenance while maintaining the integrity of the laboratory environment during research.
