Stanley Evans attended Syracuse University from 1933 to 1936. While at the university he majored in business administration, and was part of the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC). He was also a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon, the Double Seven honorary society, the Pershing Rifles national honorary military society, the Men's Administrative Commission, and was a drum major for the University Band.
This collection consists of one scrapbook, dated from 1934 to 1937. Content of the scrapbook focuses on student life at Syracuse University, particularly Greek life information and many newspaper clippings. Types of materials within the scrapbook include photographs, newspaper clippings, programs, dance cards, postcards, and commencement materials.
Please note that the collection is housed off-site, and advance notice is required to allow time to have the materials brought to the Reading Room on campus.

The University Archives holds a clipping file on Stanley A. Evans. Several other student created scrapbooks are held by the University Archives. These collections include the George W. Weaver Scrapbook, the Hazel Anna B. Hack Scrapbook, and the Robert Emmett Finnegan Scrapbook. The University Archives also holds a collection of other materials compiled and created by soldiers, the Syracuse University ROTC Collection.

This collection was originally donated by Lieutenant colonel (Retired) Stanley Evans, and was donated to the Syracuse University Archives as part of a larger group of materials in 2005. The scrapbook was initially part of the Syracuse University World Wars and the Military Collection.
The scrapbook was placed into a specially made archival box.
