The South and North elevations of the building are fitted with large fixed louvers which span two stories of mechanical space behind. The louvers had to be designed to be rain proof. In addition the louvers, have to allow the exhaust as well as the intake of air . The louvers are panelized and bird screen protected from behind. Openings and penetrations in the paneling required by mechanical equipment are thus covered by the large unified louvered surface.
