image 8: Cast Iron Toilet Bowl Supports.

The view number 8 is of the piping configuration of a gang of three toilets. The cast iron (CI)  floor mounted supports for the piping provide a cantilever armature for eventual mounting of toilet bowls to the gypsum board wall. The light weight steel framing does not, by itself, have the capacity to carry a load such as a wall mounted toilet bowl plus the live load of a 250 pound person. The floor mount armature also comes with a special pipe casting which allows for maximum venting within the soil line. The unit was developed as a response to light gauge metal framing and gypsum board assemblies. The use of additional blocking will occur at the flushometer to provide attachment for this piece of hardware.
