image 4: Outlet and Service Junction Boxes.

The image shows the typical power and lighting outlet junction boxes. These are located at specified heights in the wall assembly. Note the exposed conduit under the lab top frame substructure. The use of this type of access frame assembly allowed the electrical contractor to feed most power circuits through the laboratory furniture. Note the stud with em on it. This was the electrician's note regarding the location of the junction box for emergency power. Emergency power would be identified in the finished wall by having red outlets and or cover plates.
