Here we see precast concrete pipe and manholes being set in place for back filling Note the prepared back fill under the precast units which will help to distribute the load evenly, protecting the precast concrete from failure after it is buried. This group of manholes and pipe, comprise a section of a retention cistern for storm water gathered from the roof and parking lot of the proposed building. The steel tank in the foreground is for chemical treatment of sewage prior to discharge into the city sewer line.
