image 1: Roof ladders.

This series of images show the roof ladders which allows for access to a penthouse roof from the main roof.

Note in image 1 the necessary steel plates which must be installed in the exterior gypsum board assembly in order to carry the load of an occupied ladder.

Image 4 illustrates the spanning of roof coping to a parapet wall attachment for the ladder. This allow a continuous waterproof cap at the parapet to be installed without breaking its integrity.
