The under side of the composite metal deck can be clearly seen here. The light coming through the upset holes in the deck indicates no concrete has been placed on top. The deck is a 3' deep, 20 gauge galvanized cold formed steel deck. Note the hole in the girder has been cut for the passage of a duct due to clearance problems at the ceiling. The hole must be stiffened to redistribute the web load to the flanges and the web stiffeners here were welded by the steel fabricator, prior to delivery and erection.
