The use of construction joints is not limited to the outside of buildings. Here in this view we see a expansion bead being taped and compounded into a wall. The architectural drawings of this interior elevation show the delineation of borrow lights, columns, and datum's. The expansion beads provide the vehicle for this delineation as well as a point of resolve for differential expansion and contraction of the gypsum drywall within the large atrium space.
