Her Royal Majesty
Jessica Ginsberg, Printmaking, Sophomore, Syracuse University
Her Royal Majesty is a book that explores the many representations
of a queen in modern culture: from a true royal, Queen Elizabeth, to celebrities
such as Queen Latifa, and Lil' Kim who is known as "the Queen Bee."
The book was completed in the accordion style and each panel has a screen-printed
image of a "queen." The cover was completed using two different
decorative papers with gold leaf crown and plastic jewels. Created in
2007 in an edition of three.
Jessica Ginsberg is a sophomore printmaking major in the
College of Visual and Performing Arts, and hails from Western Massachusetts.
